Ledge & Brace Doors
and 2 panel doors
Original ledge and brace doors from 17th and 18th centuries tend to be
very low, usually around 72", although we do get some taller ones.
Below is a selection of our ledge and brace doors including several
examples in oak and elm. Two panel doors are typical of early 18th
Century, used in smarter applications than the plank doors, before the
introduction of the 6 panel door later in the 18th century.
